Wedding of Kaitlyn and Paul in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY
I had to hold myself from shrieking (or maybe I did a few times) as I photographed Kaitlyn and Paul near the East River State Park in Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Kaitlyn and Paul chose the location to match their personalities, and as you can see by the gorgeous color in the bride’s tattoo and the background… it worked wonderfully.
The 1960’s taxi cab that the couple rented for the shoot was even more exciting than the graffiti backdrop of Williamsburg brick walls.
I lit up this dramatic shot on the East River Park with my strobe to compete with the backlighting from the bright sun.
Kaitlin looking gorgeous in her retro taxi. Guess who is posing as the driver?
As with a chunk of weddings that I shoot, you can see the “sneak peek” of their offspring : ) Callan is the bride and groom’s son. Ado-rable. When I couldn’t stop commenting on how cute he was, Paul said that they guess they will keep him. ; )
The hairnet/flower was a cool twist next to a classic wedding dress.
Kaitlyn is photogenic to a silly degree. Gorgeous features, glowing skin, and an amazing and caring personality that can be seen from the outside.

Getting ready for family photos near a garage door. This was one of the few shaded areas that I could find, because first of all the day was very hot and I didn’t want to melt the guests, and second because you want to stay away from direct sun when taking photos of people.
After the ceremony, the bride wanted me to photograph the entire group of guests from an areal view above.

The wedding cake toppers were robots… how cool.
