Wedding: Yvette and Greg (Kaaterskill Inn, Catskill NY)

Here is one amazing couple who (and I’ll steal this next phrase from a toast) gaze into each other’s eyes like two teenagers in love. And it’s NOT coz they just met. No. Yvette and Greg have been together for eight years.

Drumroll…

… I’ve also compiled a video with music of this gorgeous couple. Wedding guests – you might see yourself here!

But I’m jumping ahead… first there was the getting ready. The mother of the bride is helping Yvette with some intricate buttons in the back of the wedding gown.

Meanwhile Greg chills out in some amazingly decorated rooms of the Kaaterskill Inn.

This is my third time shooting at this amazing place (which has farm animals!) and every time I am there I see new little details (like the bird candle holders).

I love the little white couch that faces the huge sliding door to the back yard. And yes, there were formal shots as well :)

The bridesmaids block Yvette as Greg gets prepared for the first look. A first look is when the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony for photos. It gives the couple time for those clean, daylight photos and makes the actual wedding WAY less stressful (since the bulk of the photos are completed by the time the guests arrive).

Somehow (I actually know why) I always have more time with the grooms than I do with the bridesmaids. As you can probably guess, the reason is the time it takes to get ready.

Yes, the groomsmen are preparing to do something cool here. Also, at this point I was very excited because the sun went behind the clouds, creating a gorgeously diffused light source.

Yvette – you look gorgeous. How did you get the sun to soften and for the wind to blow at your hair at just the right angle?!

I won’t point any fingers, but there was one groomsmen who might have gotten a little emotional.

After the ceremony we pulled some family members for a few quick pictures. The whole process probably took around 10 minutes.
