The soft colors of maternity, a shoot (Coney Island, Brooklyn)

MYTH: In order to get a great background in a photograph you need to be either in a fancy or shabby-chic apartment, or outside surrounded by exotic flowers and fields of daisies. FACT: You don’t.

Actually all you need is the following:
– great lighting (can be natural light)
– including what you want IN the frame
– leaving what you don’t want OUT of the frame

Nancy lives with her husband in Coney Island in Brooklyn NY and we jumped out for a quick stroll on the boardwalk.

The couples’ minimalistic bedroom was perfect for some of the shooting, a lot of which I did through the mirror. The frame of the mirror is what I wanted to include in my frame.
