Wedding of Anne and Ernie (Woodway Beach Club, Stamford CT)

Anne was not only one of those brides who booked my photography without a live meeting, she was also a bride who saw me for the first time as her father was walking her down the aisle! Fee free to view all the wedding photos HERE on Smugmug!

But let’s go back to the very beginning of the wedding, where the altar boys waited around for the bride to arrive.

Here Anne’s father hands her over to the groom Ernie.

The ceremony was held at the impressive St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan, CT.

“Yes” was a sort of theme to the whole wedding.

Anne’s two daughters, who were the bridesmaids, fix the bride’s veil as we prepare for the family formals.

We did the family formal shots as well as the bride and groom photoshoot at the Woodway Country Club, which had beautiful golf fields behind it. Unfortunately it was raining which threw a little challenge into the mix. Here is just one of those pictures.

The place cards at the Woodway Beach Club were laid out in sand, decorated with shiny sea star shapes. Here’s a slightly out of focus, artistic photo of the setup.

Anne fixing her veil. The veil actually belonged to Anne’s mother, so it was pretty high up on the importance heirarchy.

It was dusk when we did more of the bridal photos.

Anne’s daughters holding up the flower girl. I realize this is not a cutsie image, but I like it nevertheless.

This is the relaxed point in the wedding when Anne had taken her shoes off and was walking barefoot in the sand.

Bride and father dance. Anne was emotional. Ernie, who has a band called “the Short Bus”, played the guitar as Anne danced with her dad.

Ernie dances with his mom, a very old fashioned European lady.

The cake cutting ceremony was pretty civil.

Ernie actually sang a song of Anne. Here is Anne thanking him afterwards.

The exit was accompanied by sparklers that everyone was handed out right at the beach.
