Wedding of Rinat & Uri – Agadat Deshe, Israel

As some of you remember, Rinat and Uri are a sentimental couple for me because they are my first wedding that I shot in Israel. I have to say that as exciting as it was to shoot it, I can’t say that it different that much from a Jewish wedding that I’d shoot in America. Rinat and Uri did a “first look”, which is when the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony.

The first look is amazing because it allows for a relaxed photoshoot, more opportunities for backgrounds, since you are not having to duck guests, and more time to experiment with poses and lighting.

Here is the amazing Rinat giving her groom. They are sitting next to a man-made lily pond that is right on the grounds of the venue.

The way the faces are lit are more important for me than the background. However, in the gorgeous grounds of Agadat Deshe in Givaat Shmuel, it would be pretty hard to find a non-scenic background. Although I took a lot of formal photos in this location (as the lighting was just right) Rinat preferred some of these non-formal ones. (Or was it me …)

That’s right. Country style is how it’s done.

Rinat is facing the chuppah as Uri veils her. I love the look in her eyes.

And they are married! (Ok, this might have been snapped during the ‘first look’ photos : )

The food was absolutely to die for. It was catered by the venue.

And so is Rinat.

First dance was accompanied by the groom’s father singing. And singing well.

A shot from above. I stood on the second floor balcony to get this shot of Rinat and Uri and the two sets of parents who “made it all happen”, around them.

Some brides dance because it’s just expected of them. But Rinat seems to live for it. And the girl can DAAANCE.

The balcony was a great prop for me.

The rest basically speaks for itself. The guests were happy. They danced. They ate. They danced more. Some confetti was thrown. The groom changed into a superman t-shirt to get comfy. They danced some more. Fun props were given out to everyone (I got a blinking heart on a string). Then they danced a whole bunch more, just to make sure they really got the dancing part down : )
