Photographing one of my favorite toddlers

Whenever I visit Boston I make a trip to my friend’s house.   My favorite subject in the house to photograph is her son.  At age 4, he speaks only Russian with an adorable lisp that I would pay for on a per-item basis.  He’s gotten very comfortable with me and my big camera, as well as the flashes that are triggered and set off from different directions of the room.  With big dark brown eyes and a shy but mischievous smile, he is very photogenic.  As he runs around the house in no particular direction, occasionally making stops to hop on the round leather ottoman, I follow him around and engage with him in conversation or try to include myself in his game, in hopes of getting a good angle.   : ) Here are some of my favorite images from one of the visits.
